This is a re-creation of a speech given by Alexander Cannon that was published in the 1939 issue of the Skoek Oidak Chick Pan.

Alexander Cannon was GRIC’s third governor under the IRA Constitution we adopted. In the speech he talks about governance, his life, and his vision for what will help the Community grow.
When I came across this speech during my research I knew I wanted to make it into an audio - this is one of the earliest direct speeches from a Community leader that I’ve found and I think it is a really interesting window into the time.
